4. Interlude
When I reached the theatre hall
the ticket man said
"Did you enjoy the show? I hope so…
I wrote it on my own"
A silver screen cannot erase
the thoughts we've always fed
I see a man who came from outer space
with a futureless gaze
I thought the stage was lower
as I watched it from the chairs
now it seems the highest mountain
and I'm starting to get scared
I thought it was exciting,
the peak of all my dreams
but the curtain falls for everyone
And you aren’t always cheered
Limelights, are burning in my eyes
Black skies devouring all the truths
On stage, everything's a lie
Sure, you're not pretending to be fine
Big eyes watching from the gallery
"Your life" 's tonight show
Leaving when it starts to get slow
Why should you pretend to be someone else
they like who you are
All you've got is standing in your shoes
