8. Flashback pt.1
Remember when you used to run
but there was nothing chasing you
everything you had was standing in your shoes
I can't recall just when it was
the moment that I came to know
the feeling of not being able to lie about me

I spent whole days running
without shoes on my feet
calluses thick enough
the gravel didn’t hurt
Tractors were nibbling around
under an ashy sky
black fumes from the town
the wind was carrying high
as if the clouds were shading
dyed in monochromy
the goal I had to achieve
a big tree on the top
of the hill
One day while walking on the path
passing through the shady woods
the summer sun was trying to pierce the leaves
Among the thick grass on the edge
I saw a small fox lying inert
I was so scared I ran away, don't know where
Every time I went back to the woods I thought about that day
All my youth adventures to reach the hill were gone...
